Overall Oblivion is (in my opinion) one of the best games of all time. So if trust your son/daughter not to do it than you should be fine. Character creation, a huge open world, tons of unique weapons and armor, even spell creation! Even though the game came out in 2006 its graphics are still pretty decent. This game has almost everything you would want from an rpg.
